Purpose and scope
Grant County Busted Mugshots points readers toward the county Corrections page, the Prisoner In Custody interface, the New Mexico Courts system, public-records routes, and relevant city police contacts. It does not host a jail roster, a booking-photo gallery, court files, or a record archive. A booking entry is an accusation, not a conviction, and the court record is the source for a later case result.
Official sources lead the content because the Grant County Detention Center, the Sheriff's Office, municipal police, court clerks, and New Mexico agencies control their own records. A current-custody result, a weekly news release, a state-custody result, and a court disposition have different meanings. The site makes those differences clear instead of treating them as one database.
Independence from government
We are not affiliated with Grant County, the Grant County Sheriff's Office, Grant County Detention Center, a city police department, New Mexico Courts, NMCD, or any federal custody agency. We cannot release a person, confirm a live booking, accept an IPRA request for an agency, or determine whether a record is public. Those questions belong with the office that created or holds the record.
How the reference material is selected
The focus is on county-linked and state official sources first. Secondary local reporting may help identify a date or agency, but it is identified as reporting rather than a custody authority. Independent county pages can be mentioned only as a caveated lead that needs official confirmation. No faces or booking-photo collections are displayed or rehosted here.
Source availability can change. A roster can be temporarily unavailable, a court search can have public-access limits, and an agency may withhold protected, juvenile, sealed, or expunged information. Readers should verify a result with the responsible office before relying on it.
Search partners
Some search tools or sponsored placements may be provided by outside partners. We may receive a referral fee when a visitor chooses a partner service. That business relationship does not make a partner an official Grant County or New Mexico record custodian, and it does not change the site's requirement to present official sources first.
Partner tools operate under their own terms and privacy practices. Their results, availability, and handling of submitted information are outside our control.
