Information collected
Search terms entered in a third-party search widget may be sent to that provider to return a result. If a visitor sends a site inquiry, we may receive the name, email address, and message supplied. We may also receive ordinary technical information such as browser type, device information, referring page, IP-related log data, pages viewed, and time of visit.
Cookies and similar technologies may be used by the site, analytics providers, advertising services, and search partners to operate features, measure use, limit fraud, or support advertising. Browser settings may offer ways to manage cookies, although disabling them can affect site features.
How information is used
Information may be used to operate the site, respond to a message, maintain security, understand use patterns, improve content, enforce terms, and display or measure advertising. Search queries are used by the relevant partner to provide its search function. We do not use a search query to confirm or alter an official Grant County record.
When information may be shared
Data may be provided to service providers that help deliver search, hosting, analytics, advertising, or communications. It may also be disclosed when required by a lawful subpoena, court order, or other legal process, or when reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, or security. A transfer connected with a sale, merger, or reorganization may also involve relevant information.
Outside websites
Links lead to county, city, state, federal, news, and partner websites. Each destination controls its own content, uptime, cookies, notices, and data handling. For example, Grant County NextRequest, the JailTracker application, New Mexico Courts Case Lookup, and NMCD are separate services. Review the destination's privacy notice before supplying personal information.
Security limits
Reasonable safeguards are used for the site's operations, but no online transmission or storage system is completely secure. Do not send sensitive information through an ordinary site-contact route. A public-records request, court filing, or emergency report should be sent through the official channel that handles it.
Children
The site is not directed to children under 18. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children. If a parent or guardian believes a child has submitted personal information, contact the site service so the issue can be reviewed. Juvenile justice records also have separate legal confidentiality protections that this site does not override.
Your choices and requests
Visitors may ask about personal information submitted through a site contact channel, request correction where appropriate, or request deletion subject to legal and operational needs. A visitor can also manage many cookies through the browser or the settings offered by relevant providers. These choices do not amend a government record, remove a court file, or control a third-party destination.
Policy changes
This notice may change as site features, providers, or legal requirements change. The version posted here applies from the time it is published. Continued use after an update means the visitor should review the revised notice.
Privacy questions
For a question about this notice, use Get in Touch. Questions about an official Grant County, city, court, NMCD, or federal record must go to the office that holds that record.
